When Arturo G. Lopez’s dad was diagnosed with aggressive dementia, he and his family did everything they could to make sure he was as happy and as comfortable as possible. They did what they could to care for him and to make sure the house was maintained. This gave Arturo a firsthand look at the challenges older adults face as they age in place. Now he’s combining his passion for business, his experience with his own family, and his desire to make a difference in the community with his companies, TruBlue of West Houston & Cypress.

TruBlue provides handyman, senior modifications, cleaning, emergency repairs, and seasonal services that are perfect for busy families and seniors. We provide security to anyone who wants the comforts of their own home without the worry of all the critical property maintenance repairs that are necessary. TruBlue of West Houston & Cypress serves Cypress, Hilshire Village, Spring Branch, Memorial, Piney Point, Hedwig Village, Tanglewood, and the surrounding areas. We also service the Woodlands, Cinco Ranch and Richmond areas.

“I was always interested in opening a business that could help seniors and veterans and, after my experience with my dad who served in the Coast Guard for 24 years, I realized there was a need for a company like TruBlue to help care for their homes. We kept my dad at home for as long as we could until caring for him and the home started to negatively impact my mother’s health. I always thought if we had had a company like TruBlue to take care of their house, then he could have stayed home a bit more. That comfort and security is the kind of difference I want to make for the people in my own community,” Arturo said.

With much passion to make a change and his family’s journey with his father, he and his wife landed upon TruBlue and launched their TruBlue locations together. Arturo’s wife, Elena Lefebvre de Lopez, has her MBA from Tulane Freeman School of Business. Although she remains COO/CFO for her family-owned business, Designer Stone Center, she enjoys working alongside her husband. While running businesses seems to be their strength, their two children, Gabriel and Alejandro, prove to be their greatest accomplishment.

To assist those with ongoing home service needs or those who want to take property management off their plates entirely, TruBlue has subscription programs which enable you to hire TruBlue to provide regular, monthly maintenance. TruBlue also works with homeowners, realtors and rental property owners who need to quickly get homes move-in ready and keep them maintained and has commercial services for business clients.

Arturo has a Master’s degree in International Business and Finance and is the owner of AGL Holdings. He was looking for another business opportunity when he started researching TruBlue. He launched his TruBlue locations with the support of his wife Elena as well as their two children – Gabriel and Alejandro. Arturo’s sister Linda Lopez with 15 years’ experience in Property Management will be joining the business to run the back-office operations. “My family has been incredibly supportive and I’m excited to have Linda on the team.”

TruBlue isn’t just about providing handyman and cleaning services to the people in our community – although we are certainly here to do that – it’s about helping people enjoy their homes, especially seniors. We are a part of this community and we’re doing this in honor of the people we love, like my father,” Arturo said.
